Rules
The league's published rules and conduct policies.
Policies
Registration
Every player registers before playing. Registration includes the liability waiver, an emergency contact, and the season's dues.
Guest players
Captains request guests from the commissioner at least 24 hours before the match. The commissioner assigns guests; teams do not.
Age eligibility
Field players are 50 or older; goalkeepers may be 45 or older. An opposing captain may challenge; the referee will ask for photo ID with date of birth. Playing an ineligible player: first offense forfeits the match; a confirmed underage player is a 0-3 forfeit plus a $50 fine; three violations suspend the player for the season.
Equipment
Required: shin guards, soccer cleats, your team jersey. Not allowed on the field: jewelry, watches, smartwatches, keys, phones.
Forfeits
A team needs 8 registered players to start. A forfeit is a 0-3 loss plus a $75 fine.
Dues
Dues are collected twice a year (Fall-Winter and Spring-Summer) and cover referees, field permits, insurance, and league administration. Payment is online, in full, before playing.
Conduct and discipline
Cards
- One yellow card: a 5 minute sit-out.
- Two yellows in one match: an automatic red.
- Three yellows in a season: treated as a red, with at least a one week suspension and a $30 fine.
- Any red card: at least a one week suspension and a $30 reinstatement fee.
- Two reds in a season: suspended for the season.
Safety
Slide tackles are prohibited. Slide kicks are allowed only well away from opponents. Aggressive or unsafe behavior toward anyone at a match can mean permanent suspension. We are all getting up for work tomorrow; play like it.
